CRI Friday
As I mentioned before I have terrible and limited access to the Internet back home. But I have awesome access to it here, and it is CRI Friday AND my friend Rachel is painting so I figured, why not give it a try!
So I got my palette and canvass prepared, the only thing I didn't know was the orientation of the canvass. I had a 50/50 chance of being right so I chose "landscape"..... And this is why I don't gamble people...
Anyhow, I was so excited, but I had the hardest time getting Twitch to work. I would see a frozen image of Rachel on my tiny phone screen, but the image kept glitching and I couldn't hear her.
So I stopped and updated the app.
By this time, we were already 15 minutes in, I was getting frustrated but I was too committed at this point to be defeated. So I just rolled with it.
I missed a lot of her instructions so I relied heavily on just the visual.
Also, I should mention that I painted this outside so it started getting dark about halfway through.
Rachel's beautiful painting is the one on top, and my attempt on the bottom.
In retrospect, I am so thankful for this project because next week is supposed to be crazy. So I'll count this as practice.
We will be painting two full paintings per day as well as doing additional exercises and challenges.
With everything working against me, I completed this in 45 minutes. Which is a crazy personal record for me.
Thank you Rachel!
I'm soooo excited for next week!
P.S. I just want to mention that none of the photos of my paintings are digitally altered or enhanced in any way. That would be cheating and I'm not a cheater.

nothing says your painting needs to be an exact copy. Your interpretation is very good. Rock on young lady, Rock on.
